ITINERARY

  • Profitis Ilias

From the fortress-like Monastery on top of Profitis Ilias, you’ll enjoy an expansive view of all five charismatic churches and their varied architecture.

The highest point on this island (567 meters) is between Pyrgos and Kamari, with a Monastery Profitis Ilias being perched up top here, named for biblical Elijah (Ilias) who resided here once – the old man behind countless miracles! From up here, it’s easy for visitors to appreciate how perfectly rugged out landscapes are; whether they’re made from rock or earthy soil – these landscapes will always inspire creativity but also appreciation.

The Monastery is a place of safety and peace, with its thick walls reminding one more like an ancient fortress than anything else. Profitis Ilias has been around for centuries; witness how it was once able to conduct private business on behalf’s own ship that would benefit only this church – but also at times played an active intellectual role in education by teaching students about literature through Greek Language classes taught here from 1806-1845!

  • Akrotiri

Perhaps the most famous and recognized site on this island is Akrotiri. This ancient settlement was first discovered by American archeologists during restoration work done here to make it more presentable for tourists who come from all over Greece just because they want a glimpse into its past!

Amphitheater-like structures pepper each side while large stone walls surround them; you can see why these ruins would have been important when considering protection against outside forces – after all, no one wants their home burnt down or invaded, right?

The Bronze City is one of the most exciting places in all prehistory. Some historians claim there’s still evidence left behind from this lost civilization called “the legendary Atlantis,” which you’ve probably heard about before but never really knew anything else; beyond its existence! This prehistoric settlement was preserved by volcanic ash. On the corridors there are also screens that present the exhibits as they were before the great disaster. Get ready for a journey through time!

  •  Red Beach

The red beach of Santorini is internationally renowned for its beauty. The special rocks and the unique colors make it a very popular destination – Something you have definitely never seen before! If you choose to go all the way down you can enjoy this unique landscape made up mostly of volcanic rocks in various shades from black or brown that line both shores. You should definitelly add this location at your stopover points before beginning another journey!

  • Black Beach
The black beach is an unrivaled experience for any visitor to the Greek Islands. The unique characteristics of this area make it a must-see, with its crystal-clear waters and stunning views from Mesa Vouno – or “the big rock,” as locals call it! When visiting Perissa, if you move towards the shores, the first thing you’ll notice are those rich velvet black beach that stretch out before your eyes in every direction. Whether you’re looking for a cozy bed and breakfast or an all-inclusive resort, the surrounding village has plenty of options. With restaurants ranging from inexpensive taverns that serve great food with a fantastic atmosphere to all sorts of eateries.

Visitors are left speechless when they witness what appears at first glance (and even after!) to be nothing more than solid granite transformed into something ethereal by light playing across every facet of it.

  • Megalochori

You will be able to see the authentic local lifestyle of this hidden village, which is one of the most traditional of the island. You’ll get a feel for what life was like in these narrow streets and how people lived centuries ago with an expert guide who knows every nook! The history dates back to the 17th century when it first became known for its sweet red wine Vinsanto that’s bottled here in large quantities before being exported worldwide. You can visit three popular wineries where you’ll get a chance to taste some great wines produced locally, learn about the production process, and see what makes this place so unique

  • Firostefani

When you visit Firostefani’s Blue Dome Church, it is likely that the first thing your eyes will fall on is its iconic blue cover and gently fluttering inner doors. This church has been featured in many postcards from Santorini as one of Greece’s most beautiful churches! With great views of the volcano and the white houses on the cliff, the spot is ideal for taking stunning photos.

  • Imerovigli

Imerovigli is a picturesque village situated north of Santorini, only 2 km away from Fira. The position that provides this traditional settlement allows one to see clearly into its caldera. In the olden times, it allowed villagers’ view as pirate ships approached with their silver rigging against blue skies above them on sunny days; today, these ruins are more than an ancient landmark and serve up delicious food for tourists visiting regularly. Today Imerovigli has plenty of hotels and traditional houses  with impressive scenery around – you’ll struggle hard not to get lost while taking photos all day long.

  • Oia

Our last stop will be visiting Oia. The traditional architecture in Oia village combines white-washed houses, old mansions where captains used to live with narrow streets, and blue-domed churches that make up the unforgettable scene when seen from afar, but up close, these buildings seem even more magnificent because their details stand out against your eye: delicate carvings on doorsill markers; soft shading around windowsills and amazing intricate details, making this one of the most photographed villages on earth. The sunset over the caldera is unforgettable as it’s framed by two divinely beautiful mountains giving you that feeling like your life will never be complete until you’ve experienced what few people ever get – seeing paradise up close!
